Technical Manager - Microsoft 365 (M365)

Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Technical Manager specializing in Microsoft 365 (M365) to support our client's projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, configuring, and migrating M365 solutions, particularly for large multi-site organizations. You will play a key role in managing M365 projects, ensuring the successful implementation and security of cloud services, and acting as a subject matter expert on M365 technologies. Prior experience in large-scale migration projects within the banking or financial services industry will be a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Microsoft 365 Implementation and Management:

    • Lead the design, configuration, and migration of Microsoft 365 services and applications, including SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online, and OneDrive, for large, multi-site organizations.
    • Manage the setup and optimization of Microsoft 365 subscriptions and services to align with the client's organizational needs.
    • Oversee the end-to-end implementation of M365 solutions, including project planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Cloud Security and Compliance:

    • Implement and manage security policies, data loss prevention (DLP), and access control strategies to safeguard sensitive information within Microsoft 365.
    • Leverage M365 security and compliance features to ensure data protection and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Active Directory and Identity Management:

    • Manage identity and access management using Active Directory (now Entra), Windows Azure AD, and identity synchronization tools.
    • Handle user and group management, conditional access, and support B2C and B2B configurations.
    • Ensure robust identity protection and governance in line with security best practices.
  • Technical Leadership and Support:

    • Provide technical guidance and support to the client's internal teams and stakeholders throughout the M365 project lifecycle.
    • Stay up to date with the latest developments and best practices in Microsoft 365 technologies.
    • Troubleshoot complex M365 issues and work closely with Microsoft support as needed.

Key Requirements:

  • Microsoft 365 Expertise:

    • Proven hands-on experience in designing, configuring, and migrating to Microsoft 365 solutions for large-scale organizations.
    • Strong knowledge of core M365 services and applications, such as SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online, and OneDrive.
    • Experience setting up and managing Microsoft 365 subscriptions, licenses, and services.
    • Must have experience with large-scale migration projects, ideally within multi-site environments.
  • Cloud Security:

    • Solid understanding of M365 security and compliance features, including data loss prevention, security policies, and access management.
    • Experience in implementing and maintaining security controls to protect sensitive data in a cloud environment.
  • Active Directory and Azure AD:

    • Deep understanding of Active Directory (now Entra), Azure AD, and identity synchronization tools.
    • Experience with user and group management, conditional access, and identity protection.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert or similar certifications.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in M365 design, configuration, and migrations.
  • Experience working in multi-site or enterprise-level organizations.
  • Banking or financial services experience is a strong plus.
