[Semiconductor] Global Regional Electrical Engineer

Short Summary

As a Global Regional Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support, expertise, and leading business process alignment for construction project design, management, schedule, cost control, testing & commissioning, and operational and maintenance programs for facility electrical systems across all manufacturing sites in your region. You will represent facility design standard alignment, construction project management, and O&M BKM alignment initiatives, supporting various teams in providing critical design standard alignment, supplier quality improvement, and operational and maintenance input.



Role Overview

  • Position: Global Regional Electrical Engineer
  • Scope: Oversee electrical systems at all manufacturing sites in your region, aligning with global standards and supporting central teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management:

    • Design and construct regional greenfield projects with alignment to global standards.
    • Collaborate with central sustainability, cost, construction, and line planning teams.
    • Support site projects, technology transfers, and sustainability projects.
    • Review and approve site capacity expansion and sustainability capex.
    • Prioritize and make business-driven decisions on Facilities Reliability Improvement project capex.
  • Reliability:

    • Support site system improvement projects (System Reliability Improvements, Quality Improvement, and Equipment EOL replacements).
    • Oversee regional efforts and align strategic programs (e.g., BCP, Critical spec, Quality Defense line).
    • Support major SIPP reviews and share lessons learned from regional events.
    • Influence global standards development.
  • Communication:

    • Act as a single point of contact for regional sites and central teams.
    • Provide alignment on metrics reporting.
  • Engineering, O&M, and Others:

    • Understand each site's electrical systems' operational and maintenance capabilities.
    • Provide site/regional support for global facility initiatives.
    • Lead a global cross-functional team focused on project, design, construction, and operational excellence.
    • Support all sites, including on-site presence for construction projects and critical electrical failures.
    • Actively involved in TPM implementation and alignment along with ongoing support for electrical systems.
    • Drive improvement in utility quality through variation reduction (SPC).
    • Align common methodologies (SPC, conformance, SIPP's, MOC, and 8D problem solving) across the network.
    • Identify and deploy cost reduction efforts while optimizing and reducing energy usage.
    • Ensure effective and consistent PM and predictive maintenance programs across the network.
    • Communicate regularly with site engineering and O&M teams on status and performance.
    • Analyze and benchmark equipment performance.
    • Develop training and certification programs supporting global and site efforts.
    • Develop metrics to drive improvement (On-time PM's, MTTF, MTTR, etc.).
    • Send regular updates with key focus items and initiatives.
    • Review FIPA/METS events and recommend reducing critical electrical impact events.
    • Collaborate with construction/engineering teams to ensure project alignment.
    • Support sustainability programs in alignment with long-term sustainability strategy.
    • Benchmark system performance and drive Best-In-Class approaches across the network.
    • Review site sustainability projects and data to support sustainability targets.
    • Provide technical advice and support for project planning and execution challenges.
    • Support sustainability project data acquisition and validation.
    • Conduct, analyze, and create improvement actions based on electrical systems studies using design software tools such as SKM or ETAP.


Ideal Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience:
    • 8+ years of Facility Engineering experience, preferably in the Semiconductor Industry.
    • Strong sense of construction engineering
    • Lead or actively involved in global facility engineering efforts
