[Pharmaceutical] Senior Electrical Technician - West, Singapore
Job description
Role Overview
As a key member of the Technical Operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving manufacturing computer information systems to ensure high reliability and availability. Your role will involve specifying, designing, installing, validating, maintaining, and calibrating large-scale, critical manufacturing systems. You will integrate operational knowledge, equipment control, and data into systems to enhance manufacturing success rates and ensure seamless operations across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance and Reliability: Perform preventive and predictive maintenance of plant instrumentation, control, and electrical systems to ensure high reliability and availability.
- System Integration: Integrate manufacturing/process operational knowledge, equipment control, and data into large systems to enforce the sequence of operations related to batch production, testing, performance tracking, and drug substance disposition.
- Troubleshooting: Conduct troubleshooting to locate sources of problems by observing instrument/electrical devices in operation, listening for issues, and using measuring tools and testing instruments.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support investigations to drive increased efficiency, throughput, and quality.
- Project Support: Support project construction and commissioning of plant equipment and systems through active involvement in punch listing and commissioning activities.
- Safety and Compliance: Perform duties in a safe manner with a focus on zero injuries and ensure compliance with cGMP, EHS, and regulatory requirements.
- Team Collaboration: Prioritize own workflow and assist in prioritizing the workflow of other colleagues. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing desired results and KPIs.
Ideal Requirements
- Education: NITEC or Diploma in Engineering-related qualifications, preferably in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or Instrumentation.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical or chemical industries for senior positions.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience for junior positions.
- Fresh graduates will be considered.
- Skills and Knowledge:
- Knowledge of instrument calibration, electrical system/equipment operations, and maintenance.
- Experience working in a team performance matrix environment.
- Familiarity with Computer Maintenance Management Systems, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and Right First Time techniques.
- Strong troubleshooting and analysis skills in electrical and instrument maintenance.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
