Description
Our client is a well-established International bank with a strong presence in SG, looking for a private banking client onboarding approver at AVP level.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the prompt handling of alerts generated by the routine screening of the bank's customer database.
- Perform thorough and periodic reviews of KYC (Know Your Customer) and CDD (Customer Due Diligence) information for existing relationships. This includes a focus on higher-risk relationships and financial intermediaries, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Proactively identify and meticulously investigate any suspicious activities, potential prospects, or clients. Collaborate with senior management to provide well-founded recommendations for the preparation and submission of required suspicious transaction reports to regulatory authorities such as CAD, MAS, and HKMA.
- Play a pivotal role in the comprehensive examination of suspicious transactions that come to light during routine periodic reviews. This involves a diligent and systematic approach to analysis and reporting.
Requirements:
- Min 7 years of experience in KYC/AML under the client review function in a private banking environment.
- Knowledgeable and sensitive to the risks (PEP, Sanctions, reputational risks) and suspicious activities typical of private banking clients.
- Knowledge of regulations including MAS, HKMA and other intergovernmental / non-governmental organization such as FATF / Wolfsberg.
