Cloud IAM Engineer (Google Cloud) - Global Financial Services - Contract

If so, we invite you to join our Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM) team, where you'll play a key role in enabling the public cloud as a preferred platform across our client's IT infrastructure.

About the Role

As a Cloud IAM Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting and delivering secure, robust, and innovative IAM solutions, with a strong focus on Google Cloud. You'll work with multiple public cloud providers, enabling development teams to build, deploy, and migrate applications securely. Your expertise in authentication, authorization (RBAC), and identity federation will be essential in ensuring seamless cloud adoption.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Design and implement IAM solutions for new and migrating applications, with an emphasis on Google Cloud
✅ Provide authentication and authorization (RBAC) services for complex, multi-tier cloud applications
✅ Select and integrate appropriate IAM controls based on security and compliance requirements
✅ Work within a globally distributed team to deliver cloud-centric solutions
✅ Collaborate with vendors to deploy cloud services that meet business needs
✅ Integrate, configure, document, and deploy compliant infrastructure in Google Cloud
✅ Optimize and document operational processes in the cloud environment
✅ Troubleshoot and resolve IAM-related issues, identifying root causes and implementing fixes
✅ Partner with Risk Management teams to ensure cloud security controls are deployed and tested

What We're Looking For

✔ Extensive experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM), particularly in Google Cloud
✔ Strong knowledge of Azure Active Directory and its use as an IDP for Google Cloud
✔ Expertise in authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID, Kerberos)
✔ Hands-on experience with Federated Identity solutions (e.g., PING Federate, ADFS)
✔ Prior experience designing and implementing RBAC solutions for Google Cloud
✔ Strong communication skills and experience creating technical architecture documentation

Nice to Have

➕ Scripting & Automation skills in PowerShell and/or Python
➕ Experience with HashiCorp tools (Terraform, Vault, Consul)
➕ Familiarity with risk control frameworks and regulatory compliance in cloud security
➕ Previous experience in the financial industry
