Logistic Customer Service Specialist (Airfreight & Ocean freight)

My clients are a dynamic and rapidly growing freight forwarding company with over 10 years of market presence specializing in e-commerce and traditional freight services. They are setting up their regional hub in Singapore and are looking to hire a Logistics Customer Service Specialist.

This key role involves managing customer inquiries, coordinating airfreight and ocean freight shipments, and ensuring seamless communication between clients and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in freight forwarding, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding inquiries and shipments. Provide prompt responses to customer questions and issues, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
  • Shipment Coordination: Manage airfreight and ocean freight shipments, including booking, tracking, and documentation. Collaborate with carriers, customs brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve any issues during the shipping process. Communicate delays or changes to customers and provide effective solutions.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all shipping documentation complies with international regulations and company policies. Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to enhance customer service delivery and assist in the development of operational improvements.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor customer feedback and service metrics to continuously improve processes and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in freight forwarding operations.
  • Strong understanding of airfreight and ocean freight operations, including documentation, regulations, and industry practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Highly organized with strong multitasking and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in freight forwarding software (e.g., Cargo wise) and Microsoft Office Suite.
