[Leading Logistic] Project Director - Industrial Infrastructure

Role Overview:

The Project Director will lead a team of Project Managers, providing mentorship and guidance in all aspects of project development. This includes managing new civil infrastructure projects, enhancing and retrofitting existing assets across various areas of a general and bulk cargo port, such as marine coastal infrastructures, warehouses, storage yards, and bespoke civil and equipment integrated infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Oversee a portfolio of projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with the company's development strategy.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and project management support to Project Managers.
  • Conflict Resolution: Resolve design, cost, and time conflicts among project team members to ensure project progress.
  • Design Management: Develop and manage design concepts and options, ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders and business GMs.
  • Consultant Coordination: Manage multi-discipline consultants and liaise with relevant authorities for project approvals.
  • Tender and Award Processes: Oversee tender and award processes, as well as construction and contract administration.
  • Budget and Schedule Management: Ensure projects are completed within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify key project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control processes to meet industry standards and company expectations.
  • Environmental Considerations: Prioritize environmental considerations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Safety Standards: Uphold the highest safety standards and promote a culture of safety within the team.
  • Leadership: Effectively manage cross-functional project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Academic degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of relevant development or project management experience, focusing on industrial buildings and/or waterfront infrastructure.
  • Project Director Experience: At least one full cycle as a Project Director for a development project.
  • Continuous Improvement: Commitment to continuous improvement in design and processes.
  • PSSCOC Knowledge: Understanding of PSSCOC is beneficial.
