Business Development Manager (Freight Forwarding / Logistics)

We are working with a mid-sized European MNC with presence in more than 80 locations globally. They provide a unique positioning to offer comprehensive solutions in Forwarding and Logistics yet remain bespoke in their service quality with close customer relationships. They are well-known for their Air Freight and Sea Freight solutions, aimed to help customers control lead times and cost optimization.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Country Head, you will be responsible for developing new customers across various verticals, promoting the company's air and/or sea freight solutions. You need to be proactive in hunting for new accounts and win new business opportunities, while maintaining solid rapport with existing customers to ensure business continuity. You will also work cross-functionally to prepare quotations and RFQs, offering best solutions to fit customers' needs.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is someone with minimum 5 years of Sales, Business Development, and/or Account Management experience within the Freight Forwarding / Logistics industry. They are open to a variety of Verticals, but with a focus in Cosmetics, Wine & Spirits, Fashion & Retail, and Life Sciences. You will also need to be a proven hunter with track record of winning new businesses, while proposing innovative solutions to customers.
